Block Paving Driveway Transformation in Barnet
An old, cracked concrete driveway in Barnet replaced with buff herringbone block paving, a charcoal border and a new ACO drainage channel.

About this project
This driveway project involved the complete transformation of an old, tired concrete driveway into a clean and modern block paving frontage. The existing surface was excavated and re-graded to improve levels and drainage, creating a solid foundation for the new driveway.
Premium buff block paving was installed in a neat herringbone pattern, finished with a contrasting charcoal border to define the edges and add a sharp, contemporary look. A new ACO drainage channel was also fitted across the front of the driveway to help manage surface water effectively.
The finished result is a smart, hard-wearing driveway that comfortably accommodates two vehicles while significantly improving the kerb appeal of the property.

About this block paving driveway project
How long does a block paving driveway like this take?
A driveway of this size typically takes 3–5 days, including digging out the old concrete, building the sub-base, laying the blocks and fitting drainage.
Do you install block paving driveways in Barnet?
Yes. We regularly work across Barnet and the rest of North London, including Finchley, Southgate and the surrounding areas. Planning questions for driveways in the borough go to the London Borough of Barnet.
Why fit an ACO drain across a driveway?
An ACO channel drain catches surface water before it runs onto the pavement or towards the house, which keeps the driveway dry and helps meet the rules for non-permeable front driveways.
